There's a power struggle at Aberdeenshire Council, with the SNP poised to take control.

The Conservative led coalition administration has been under threat since 4 councillors resigned.

The party had run the local authority in partnership with the Liberal Democracts, Labour and Independent councillors.

Now, the Nationalists could take charge after forging an agreement with Independent members and Labour.

This comes after the SNP was booted out of the lead role in Highland Council, which will now be run by an Independent minority administration.
