Search for Shona Johnston scaled back

Police say the search for a woman who vanished in Stonehaven on Tueasday is being scaled back. Shona Johnston, who is 35, was last seen on the 24th of February on Robert Street at around 1pm. The mother-of-two's car was found parked at the Dunnottar Castle car park a few hours later and searches have focused on that area. Offciers say a large number of resources have been deployed in the search for Shona including specialist searchers, dog handlers, SARDA dogs, the dive and marine unit, police helicopter, RAF Search and Rescue helicopter as well as Coastguard and RNLI. Inspector Jon Millar said: "Extensive enquiries have been carried out in the local area in a bid to trace Shona but we have still not found her. This is still a missing person enquiry and I would ask that anyone with information gets in touch with us. "In addition if anyone sees any clothing or belongings or anything usual please contact us as this could be relevant to our enquiries. Searches have been scaled back but any new information will be considered and acted upon. Police can be contacted on 101."
