Police Launch Murder Inquiry in Aberdeen
Police in Aberdeen have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in the city on Wednesday.
They were called to a property in the city's Holland Street, where they found James Chadwick had died of 'unexplained' injuries.
The 37-year-old's death is now being treated as murder following the results of a post mortem examination.
Officers have been carrying out door-to-door inquiries and gathering CCTV images from the area.
Detective Chief Inspector Iain Smith, of Police Scotland's Major Investigation Team, said: 'This investigation is at an early stage and it is important we establish what has happened which led to James Chadwick losing his life. Our enquiries so far have established that Mr Chadwick was last seen on Monday August 31 and we're appealing to anyone who has any knowledge of his movements since August 31 to contact police as a matter of urgency.'
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
