Police Hunt For Men Behind Train Assault.
Transport police are hunting two men who racially abused a family and punched a young woman on a train.
Officers described the behaviour of the men as "disgusting'' as they travelled on the 8.42pm Aberdeen to Glasgow Queen Street service on Wednesday.
As the train travelled between Aberdeen and Perth, both men, who had been drinking, made inappropriate comments'' to three young women and then racially abused a father and his three young children in the same coach.
Both men are aged in their mid-20s and around 5ft 10in. One has a slim build and tattoos on his hands and was wearing a black tracksuit with white stripes on the sleeves, while the other suspect has a stocky build, dark hair and was wearing a black hooded top with orange branding.
Detective Constable David McAllister said: The disgusting behaviour of the two men was completely unwarranted, unnecessary and appalled people.
The train also stopped at Stonehaven, Montrose, Arbroath, Dundee, and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incidents to contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or by texting 61016.''
