Plane Carrying Oil Workers Back To Aberdeen Slides Off Runway
A plane carrying oil workers back to Aberdeen slid off an airport runway yesterday.
The Loganair flight, from Rotterdam to Aberdeen, had to return back to the airport shortly after take-off after a warning signal from the flight deck, at around 4:35pm.
But while landing, hydraulic problems caused the plane to slide off of the runway.
There were 17 passengers on-board, but none of them were injured.
A statement from Loganair read:** **“As is standard procedure, the aircraft was met by the airport’s emergency services.
“All 17 passengers disembarked the aircraft safely, returned to the terminal by bus and a replacement service was dispatched from Glasgow to take them on to Aberdeen.
“We would like to apologise to our customers for the inconvenience they experienced yesterday.”
