New £12 Million Aberdeen Primary School Officially Opened
Pupils and staff of Brimmond School marked the official opening of their new £12 million facility today.
City Council leader Jenny Laing spoke at a whole school assembly where pupils were formally welcomed into their new building.
The innovative plans feature a range of outdoor provision including a cycle track to enable road safety lessons to take place within school complex, courts for basketball and netball in addition to an all-weather 3G sports pitch, an adventure playground, a sensory garden and a woodland wildlife area.
There are also terrace-style areas on the first floor which can be used as outdoor classrooms, something that is already popular among pupils.
