Marischal Square Protestors Call For Live Street Debate With Councillors

Published 6th Feb 2015

Protestors against Marischal Square have called for top Councillors to take part in a live street debate in Aberdeen. Letters have been sent to Council Leader Jenny Laing and Finance Convenor Willie Young inviting them to the campaign group's next protest on the 14th of February. They want them to take part in a Q and A session about the development. They have yet to get a response. The last protest, saw hundreds turn out to form a human chain around the site. A poll we conducted also found that 75% of our listeners are against the development. What do you think? Would you like to see a live street debate take place? Our reporter Hope Webb spoke to campaigner Lorna McHattie and Council Leader Jenny Laing on the idea.
