A man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after police were called to a flat in Aberdeen after "concern for a male".

Police officers were called to the scene on Waulkmill Cresent just after 1pm this afternoon.

Paramedics arrived on scene to treat the man, but decided to rush him straight to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Then once specialist officers entered the property they discovered what they are describing as an "unkown substance".

They have said though that there is no threat to the public.

A number of Scottish Ambulance Service and crews and police remain in attendance, including a special operations unit.
