A man wearing a high visibility jacket has a head injury after being attacked in Aberdeen city centre.

It happened at around 9.30pm on Sunday 19 June 2016 near the Holburn Pharmacy on Holburn Street, Aberdeen, where a 47 year old man was the victim of an assault.

Investigating Officer Constable Kevin Souter, of the Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit, said: "This incident has resulted in a man sustaining a head injury. Assaults of this nature can have a significant impact on the life of not only the victim but their family as well.

"It is believed the area would have been highly populated at the time and we area appealing to members of the public to assist us with our enquiries into how this man came to be assaulted. I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault to come forward and contact the police."
