LISTEN: Seven Parties Bid For Bon Accord Baths

It's been revealed that seven parties have submitted bids for Aberdeen's iconic Bon Accord Baths.

The deadline for bids was 4pm on Tuesday.

Aberdeen City Council say the submissions are now in the hands of council officials, and will be considered soon.

Bon Accord swimming baths was built during World War Two, and was hailed as an act of defiance against Hitler.

It came just weeks after 34 people were killed in the worst German bombing raid of the war on the city.

The baths closed in 2008 because of council budget cuts.

The impressive building includes, a Health Suite with Saunas and steam rooms including a unique plunge pool.

Seven parties have now submitted bids to take control of the site.

One of those parties is local charity, Bon Accord Heritage.
