Aberdeen's second oil summit takes place today at the City Council's town house.

The crisis talks will see industry leaders, government and unions all get round the table to discuss the future of the north-east economy.

Many senior figures, including Sir Ian Wood and Chief Executive of Oil and Gas UK Deirdre Michie will be part of the discussion.

Representatives of the UK and Scottish government are also expected to be in attendance.

Speaking to Northsound News last week - City Council Leader Jenny Laing said it's important that those working in the sector know that everything possible is being done to boost investment.

We'll have reaction to the summit later today on Northsound News.
