Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses after a wallet was stolen from a 71-year-old man who had fallen and suffered a serious leg injury.

The theft happened at the public steps between Farquhar Road and Girdleness Road in the Torry area of Aberdeen at around 7.30pm on Monday, 20 July, 2015.

A man, described as being in his 30's, stopped and instead of helping the man took his wallet.

He's described as being around 5ft 10 inches and of average build. He was wearing a white crew neck jumper and blue jeans.

The injured man was then helped by members of the public and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
