Human skull found in Aberdeen graveyard
A human skull has been discovered in an old Aberdeen graveyard.
Police were called to the St Fittick's Church Graveyard at Nigg Bay last Thursday, after a member of the public discovered the human remains above the ground.
A pathologist was then called to the scene to carry out a full examination of the bones, and it was determined that there were no suspicous circumstances.
The skull itself is centuries old, and a police spokeswoman said that: "bones are known to rise to the surface of graves after many years".
The St Fittick's Church dates back to the 1600's.
