Girls Injured After Being Hit by Car in Aberdeen

Two young girls are being treated in hospital after being knocked down by a car.

Police said their injuries are thought to be "relatively minor'' following the crash in Summerhill Road, Aberdeen, at about 1.45pm today.

The collision involved a Hyundai i20 and officers closed the road while emergency services dealt with the incident.

The age of the girls involved is not known but police described them as young.

They were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
