Five men will appear in court after the seizure of £100,000 worth of drugs in Aberdeen.

Four of the men, aged 37, 38, 46 and 62, are from Aberdeen, and the fifth man, 46, is from the London area.

The men are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday July 25.

The seizure was the result of an intelligence-led operation with warrants executed in the Hilton and George Street areas of the city on Friday.

Heroin and crack cocaine with an estimated street value of about £100,000 was recovered.

Detective Inspector Stuart McAdam said: "We will continue to target all those who wish to involve themselves in drug activity and organised crime in the north east of Scotland, and we will continue in our efforts to make our policing area a hostile place to deal controlled drugs.

"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their continued support as we tackle serious and organised crime, and I would ask that they continue to report any concerns to us."

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
