First oil from new North Sea field
Finally - some good news from the North Sea! BP has now started pumping oil from the Kinnoull field, after years of work and hundreds of millions of pounds in investment.
A major new oil field has come online in the North Sea. It's hoped the Kinnoull field off the coast of Aberdeen will have 45 million barrels worth. BP have spent more than £700 million investing in the scheme - but it comes at a worrying time for the industry. The price of oil has almost halved in just six months.
