Elderly woman dies after accident
89-year-old Mary Donald who was hit by a car in Ellon on Saturday has died in hospital.
An 89-year-old woman who was hit by a car in Ellon has died in hospital.
She was Mary Donald and she was well known in the area.
Mary was taken to hospital after the accident on South Road on Saturday.
Sergeant Rob Warnock, from the Aberdeenshire and Moray Road Policing Unit, said: "First and foremost our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Mary who was well known in the Ellon area. "Enquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information who hasn't yet come forward to contact Police Scotland on 101.''
