Date of Two Aberdeen By-Elections Announced

Aberdeen City Council have announced two Aberdeen by-elections will be held in July.

On the 30th of July, new memebers for the Kincorth, Nigg and Cove ward, and the Hilton, Woodside and Stockethill ward.

The vacancies were created when SNP councillors Callum McCaig and Kirsty Blackman were elected as MP's for Aberdeen North and Aberdeen South in the General Election.

Mr McCaig represented the Kincorth, Nigg and Cove ward, while Mrs Blackman was a ward member for Hilton, Woodside and Stockethill.

Details of polling places will be announced at a later date.
