A helicopter's landed safely at Aberdeen Airport, after declaring a mid air emergency.

Bristow say a cockpit warning light came on.

The firm released this statement:

 "Bristow Helicopters Ltd can confirm that one of its Airbus EC225 helicopters requested priority landing at Aberdeen Airport today, Monday 4 April, following a cockpit warning indication.

“The helicopter landed without event at approximately 0715 hrs with 17 passengers and two crew on-board. On arrival back at Aberdeen Airport the passengers were debriefed by the crew and given the opportunity to ask any questions.

“Safety is paramount in all that we do, and the aircraft will undergo a full engineering investigation before returning to service."
