A cemetery worker was rescued from grave danger
A man had to be rescued by the service department from an Aberdeenshire graveyard.
The employee in his mid-20's was digging in Kintore Graveyard when the walls collapsed burying him up to his knees.
His colleagues tried to help him but called in the fire service for help.
It took over an hour to free the man who was then treated by paramedics.
Inverurie Watch Manager Graeme Duncan said: "The ground appeared to be very sandy and that's likely to have caused the sides to cave in.
"Others working at the graveyard tried to help him initially, before they called the fire service for assistance."
