Matthew Crosbie, 19, was reported missing from the River Findhorn at an area known as Randolph's Leap near Forres, Moray, on Saturday afternoon.
His body was found at the shore of Findhorn Bay on Sunday morning.
Police, coastguard, the fire service and a helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth were involved in the search.
