Auchmill Golf Course Suffers Vandal Attack
Police are appealing for witnesses after a five figure sum of damage was caused at an Aberdeen Golf course.
The turf at Auchmill on Bonnyview Road was devastated by a vehicle driving on the course repeatedly between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
Local area Inspector Andy Barclay said: "This mindless act has caused extensive damage and cost and an immeasurable amount of distress to the owner. In addition it will have a significant impact on local residents and visitors to the area who make good use of the course.
"I would appeal for anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious between the hours of 3pm on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday, or anyone who has information, to contact police as a matter of urgency."
