Appeal over city centre attack

Police Scotland has today released an image of a man that officers wish to trace in connection with a serious assault in Aberdeen.

It happened at around 3.30am on Sunday 1 February 2015 outside Paddy Power on Union Street, Aberdeen at the junction with the Adelphi Lane.

As a result, a male was taken to hospital.

Officers believe the man pictured in this image can assist with their ongoing enquiry and anyone who can assist in identifying him is asked to come forward.

He is described as around 17-18 years old, with ginger hair and at the time of the incident, he was wearing a red jacket.

Investigating Officer PC Ryan Anderson said: "We would be keen to speak to the male pictured as he may be able to assist us with our enquiries. I would appeal to anyone who can identify the male or has any other information regarding the assault to contact the police."
