Another ATM Raid in Aberdeenshire

Published 22nd Jun 2015

A gang's blown up a cash machine, just yards from the North East's busiest road.

People in Newtonhill were woken at three in the morning on Saturday by a loud bang.

It was the sound of an ATM being blown off the wall of the Tesco Metro.

We don't know how much cash was taken, but the shop's right next to the busy A90, and the police want to speak to any potential witnesses who can help them find the robbers.

This isn't the first time a bank machine's been targetted in the North East.

The latest raids were back in January when two were ripped off the wall of the Morrisons in Banchory.

The police don't yet know if that's connected to this latest heist.

If you can help detectives call Police Scotland on 101.
