A 30-year old man appeared on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (April 27) charged with attempted murder.

Ryan Ellis made a brief appearance in private before Sheriff Isabella McColl. No plea or declaration was made and the case was continued for further inquiry. Ellis was remanded in custody.

His appearance in court follows an alleged attack on two men from Aberdeen, Peter and James Stewart, in Wardieburn Place West in Edinburgh's Pilton area on April 8.

On Tuesday of last week, 16-year old Bradley Frail also appeared on petition in connection with the same alleged incident, also charged with attempted murder.
