Billy Connolly: 'I Gave Robin Williams Advice About Parkinson's'
He praises his friend at the What We Did on Our Holiday premiere
Billy Connolly has revealed he gave his good friend Robin Williams advice about Parkinson’s disease before his untimely death last month.
Speaking to us at the premiere of his new movie What We Did on Our Holiday in London’s Leicester Square, Billy said he shared as much advice as possible with fellow Parkinson’s sufferer.
“He was phoning me a lot about the Parkinson’s stuff,” Billy told us. “He was getting my advice on things and comparing notes on drugs and how to behave and what you do with your face because you look bored all the time. I was giving him my tuppence worth on it.
“He’s a beautiful person. I tell you what, I can’t speak about him in the past tense. I behave as if he’s still here. He was the master, he was the best of all of us.”
Billy also told us he was split on the Scottish independence referendum, while his co-star David Tennant gushed about filming What We Did on Our Holiday in his home country.
