Over the last few months Lady Gaga's fans have been gathering as much information as they can on the singer's new music. After her performance at the Paris Olympics last year, the singer shared clips from her new album with fans outside her hotel.

She has also released 'Die With a Smile' with Bruno Mars, 'Harlequin' the companion album to Joker: Folie à Deux, and her single 'Disease', from her upcoming album. However, while she has been teasing a February release date, she has kept the full sound of the album under wraps.

Now as we're more than half way through January, Lady Gaga has teased fans even more with a countdown appearing on her website, however despite many thinking it's for 'LG7', it turns out it's for something else.

The website countdown appears to end on Monday 27th January, td 4pm GMT, meaning it is a few days short of the February release date for 'LG7'. Fans will have also found that by 'scrubbing' over the countdown it reveals 'LG1' in the same font used in Lady Gaga's 'The Fame' era.

So, while we are still very excited for 'LG7', it seems this countdown is for something else, almost certainly related to her debut album. Released back in 2008, 'The Fame' featured her massive hits 'Poker Face', 'Just Dance' and 'Paparazzi'.

When is Lady Gaga releasing new music?

Although we don't know exactly when, Lady Gaga has previously revealed that she will be releasing her seventh album in February. You can find out more about 'LG7' here.

However, now that Lady Gaga has shared a countdown on her website, she could be due to release new music on that earlier date. Her current countdown ends at 4pm on Monday 27th January, whether it is a song or album remains to be seen.
