American country singer Kane Brown first got himself noticed after uploading cover songs online from a hardware store's staff toilets. He said the videos 'blew up his phone' - and was soon writing and recording hit singles of his own.

After collaborating with mainstream acts like Camilla Cabello, Marshmello - plus his own wife, Katelyn - on a number of hit records as well as his performance at C2C 2024, the singer is now hot property, even announcing a UK tour for 2025. Take a look at what else is in store for Kane this year and beyond...

Who is Kane Brown?

Kane Brown is an American country singer who rose to fame after gaining an online audience with cover songs he'd recorded at the hardware store he worked in.

Kane's musical influences include country, R&B, hip hop and pop music — and give the singer a unique sound which fans love. As a youngster, Kane sang in a choir with school friend, Lauren Alaina, who went on to come second in the 10th series of American Idol.

In an interview with Today, Kane once said of his difficult childhood: "Music was always my life. It was kind of my escape even though I didn't realise it, coming up through my childhood." He'd faced periods of homelessness and abuse.

He's also a keen basketball player.

How old is Kane Brown?

He was born on 21st October 1993 — which makes him 32-years-old.

Where is he from?

Kane grew up in Tennessee and Georgia, USA.

Is Kane going on tour?

Yes... And there are UK dates! He's currently on his 'The High Road Tour' visiting Australia, New Zealand and the US, before heading to the UK for dates in October 2025 and kicking things off in Glasgow.

New music

Kane released 'Unspoken' on 2nd October 2025, telling Entertainment Focus in that same month that he was preparing to put a new album out! He said: "I'm about to start work on a new album when we get back from this tour. We're taking a chunk of time next year off – probably about half the year – so I'll have time to work on new music then."

Country To Country (C2C) Festival

In March 2024, Kane Brown headlined Country To Country festival in London, Glasgow and Belfast — even bringing out American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina, for their popular 'What Ifs' duet.

Country singer, Carly Pearce, joined the singer on stage for 'Thank God' — a track he recorded with his wife, Katelyn. He told the crowd she couldn't make it as she was "halfway pregnant" and thanked Carly for stepping in. The crowd joined in for the final chorus — a special moment for Kane and his fans.

Kane's third album 'Different Man' was released in 2022 and peaked at Number 2 in the US country chart, while he put out his fourth offering 'The High Road' in January 2025 which went to Number 2 on the US Top Country Albums chart.

It features hit single 'Backseat Driver' and 'Miles On It' (a collaboration with American DJ Marshmello). The album is being promoted through Kane's 'The High Road Tour', which is taking place across the US from 2024-2025, as well as visiting Canada, Australia, New Zealand AND the UK!

What are Kane Brown's most successful songs?

Kane Brown has had a number of successful songs, including three Number 1s in the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart:

'What Ifs'

Kane joined forces with American singer/songwriter Lauren Alaina in 2016 to release upbeat love song 'What Ifs'. The pair have been friends since childhood, and were praised for the popular collab, which won a number of awards, including Collaborative Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards and Most Jaw-Dropping Performance of 2018 at the Taste of Country Fan Choice Awards.

The catchy lyrics include: 'What if I was made for you / And you were made for me / What if this is it / What if it's meant to be / What if I ain't one of them / Fools just Playin' some game / What if I just pulled you close / What if I leaned in / And the stars line up / And it's our last first kiss / What if one of these days baby I'd go and change your name / What if I loved all these what ifs away.'

'Lose It'

'Lose It' made Number 1 in the Hot Country Songs chart in 2018 — and won Male Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards in 2019. It was the lead single from his third album 'Experiment'.

The catchy country song is about having fun, and includes the lyrics: 'Cause when you do that thing right there / Flippin' your hair, baby, I swear / I don't think you know what you're doin' to me / You got my heart skip-skippin' a beat tonight / You're not close enough, so there's space between / You and me, let's lose it.'

'One Thing Right'

The first of two collaborations with American DJ Marshmello, 'One Thing Right' is a love song about a guy who is always making bad decisions.

Kane sings: 'I've been at the wrong place at the wrong time / Chasing all the wrong things most of my life / Been every kind of lost that you can't find / But I got one thing right / Been the kind of guy girls' mommas don't like / Running with the wrong crowd on the wrong nights / 'Cause I've been wrong about a million times / But I got one thing right, you.'

Collaborations with Marshmello

After collaborating together in 2019 on hit single 'One Thing Right' Kane Brown and Marshmello kept in touch and decided to work on a part two five years later. 'Miles On It' was released in May 2024 and has already gone Platinum in the US and Silver in the UK.

Kane Brown featured on Camilla Cabello track 'Never Be The Same'

You may be surprised to know that Kane Brown featured on Camilla Cabello's hit track 'Never Be The Same' in 2017. The song peaked at Number 7 in the UK.

Kane samples iconic Phil Collins song

Recognise the iconic drum rift and lyrics in Kane's track 'I Can Feel It'? That's because they're from Phil Collins' 80s megahit 'In The Air Tonight'. Kane was thrilled to get the legend's blessing to sample his song — and has even said he'd love to have Phil join him on stage one day to perform it.

Is Kane Brown married?

Yes! He's married to Katelyn Jae Brown, who also sings. In fact, the couple recorded hit song 'Thank God' together in 2022. The couple met in 2015 at one of Kane's concerts, and they married three years later in 2018.

Does he have children?

Kane has three children with his wife, Katelyn; two girls (Kingsley and Kodi) and a son, Krewe, who was born in June 2024. The singer has previously revealed the family regularly join him on tour.

Kane's acting career

As well as being a successful singer, Kane Brown made his acting debut in a 2023 episode of 'Fire Country'. He's reported to have asked for a spot on the show after being approached by CBS for permission to use his track 'Riot' to promote it.

He had a cameo in an episode of Nashville 911, airing in October 2025, which saw him performing on stage as a tornado hit the area, leaving audience members hurt as the singer rushed to their aid.
