Cleopatra – The Experience is a new immersive experience available in London for a limited time. The walkthrough experience at Immerse LDN at Excel London Waterfront, features nine interactive galleries and gives visitors a chance to see Ancient Egypt, uncovering the secrets of the country's last queen.
The experience has been developed with historical curators and Egyptologists, and endorsed by British Egyptologist Dr Chris Naunton. Find out more about it below.
What is Cleopatra - The Experience?
A description of the immersive experience reads: 'With a striking blend of 22 real Egyptian artefacts, cinematic projection technology, a state-of-the-art hologram, Virtual Reality, a free-roaming Metaverse, interactive installations and more, the experience brings one of history’s most fascinating figures vividly to life with one of the most ambitious and huge scale exhibitions in London.'
Speaking about the experience, British Egyptologist, writer and broadcaster, Dr Chris Naunton, who is also the official ambassador for Cleopatra: The Experience, said: "Cleopatra’s story is one of the richest and most vivid that we have from the ancient world. Her image and character have been reimagined countless times.
"What is so thrilling about this experience is that it is so immersive, but also that it takes into account the latest archaeological discoveries, and shows the audience a little of the ways in which we are able to say more and more about the real Cleopatra, based on the archaeology, rather than on Shakespeare or Hollywood’s version of events."

It lasts for around 90 minutes.
