If you've not heard the term Apt. this year then where exactly have you been? Coining the phrase with their worldwide sensation of a single, Rosé (of Blackpink fame) and Bruno Mars shot straight to Number 2 with 'Apt.' in November. Thankfully they didn't leave us hanging too long, explaining the word means 'apartment'!
Well now Rosé — who is best known as part of K-pop girl band, Blackpink — is delighting fans with a new solo single. She was born on 11th February 1997, making her 27-years-old.

Rosé was born in Auckland, New Zealand, but moved to Australia when she was young. She also has South Korean citizenship.

Rosé's full name is Roseanne Park but she also goes by her Korean name, Park Chae-young.
Rosé and Bruno Mars collaborate for smash hit 'Apt.'
Joining forces in October 2024 for Number 2 single 'Apt.', Rosé and 'The Lazy Song' singer Bruno Mars were a force to be reckoned with. Not only did the track spend five weeks in the Top 10 but it also became a huge TikTok trend.
Explaining the meaning of the song, Rosé previously told fans apt. (pronounced ap-a-teu) is the Korean word for apartment — and draws inspiration from the Apartment Game, a Korean drinking game.

Is Rosé still in Blackpink?
Yes! Despite branching out to follow solo careers, the girl group IS still together! Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie and Rosé first formed in 2010-2011, bringing out their debut album 'Square One' as a foursome six years later. Their music videos have gained some serious traction online, with 'Kill This Love' and 'How You Like That' both setting records for their views.
In 2018 they released 'Kiss and Make Up' with Dua Lipa and in 2020 they feature on Lady Gaga track 'Sour Candy'. They also released 'Ice Cream' with Selena Gomez the same year.
Blackpink embarked on a world tour in 2022 and have performed at festivals including Coachella and BST Hyde Park. Their 'Born Pink World Tour' was so successful, it broke the record previously held by The Spice Girls to become the highest-grossing tour by a female group.
New music
Rosé’s new solo single ‘Number One Girl’ was released on 22nd November 2024 alongside an official music video directed by Rosé. The track, which was co-written and produced by Bruno Mars, Amy Allen, D-Mile, Omer Fedi, Carter Lang and Dylan Wiggins, is the second release off Rosé’s first studio album 'Rosie', which is set to arrive on December 6th.

Rosé's first solo album 'Rosie' contains 12 tracks and is billed as Rosé’s most personal and candid release to date. She co-wrote the whole record and has released two tracks so far...'Apt.' and 'Number One Girl'.
