While we are eagerly-awaiting new music and the Netflix series from Madonna, the 'Vogue' singer has delighted fans by celebrating her dad's 94th birthday, and sharing some sweet photos of her father, along with a tribute to him.

Revealing how he's been through a lot over the years, she wrote on X: 'Happy Birthday to my Father. Silvio Ciccone, 94 and going strong!!

'He has survived many wars and many losses in his life.and he still has a sense of humor and a strong desire to get out of bed every morning and make the most of his day. Whenever people ask my father when he’s going to retire, his answer is always the same.

“ I’m going to go until the wheels fall off”!! S.A.M.E. 🩷🩵🤍🩶'. (sic)

Along with the caption, she shared two photos, one of the pair, and one of Silvio by himself.

Despite being close to her father, Madonna rarely shares photos of him. In the video shared on Instagram, Madonna and her children can be seen preparing for Silvio's birthday celebrations.

The video had a slightly longer caption, which mentioned the singer's late mother, also called Madonna: 'It’s a shame we do not live in a world that celebrates knowledge and experience and the wisdom that we can only learn from our elders who have survived for many decades on this planet. We are fixated on youth and physical beauty that ironically teaches us nothing and gives us only momentary gratification.

'Good job, Dad!! I’m proud of you and I know Mom is smiling and Happy wherever she is .

'Thank you for giving me your zero F--KS mentality! 💪🏻♥️'. (sic)

Following Madonna's social media posts, fans have been leaving messages of congratulations, with singer Brandi Carlile saying: 'Profound ❤️', another fan wrote: 'Happy birthday Papa Ciccone ❤️', with a third commenting: 'Happy Birthday to your father. It was always a delight to run into him at the winery! So glad you had him out to visit & celebrate with you'.

Happy Birthday Silvio!
