Police make two arrests after stabbing in Leicester city centre

Police have launched an investigation following a stabbing in Leicester.

A man was found injured in Granby Street at around 10.40pm last night. It is believed he had been stabbed nearby in Bishop Street.

The injured man remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Two people – a man aged 23 and a woman aged 20 - have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in police custody.

Leicestershire Police say a cordon will remain in place at the scene as detectives work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
