A petition has been launched by the parents of a 12-year-old boy who died in a crash in Coventry.

Keaton Slater died after he was hit by a black BMW on Friday 14th June as he walked home from school in Radford Road.

The driver involved didn't stop at the scene.

West Midlands Police are still searching for the man they believe was behind the wheel, Dolars Aleksanders, who may have fled the country.

A reward of up to £10,000 has been offered by the group Crimestoppers for information relating the prime suspect.

Statement from family on petition

"This petition is not only about bringing him back to England to answer for his actions, but it is also about proving that justice can be served, no matter where the accused might be hiding.

"We believe the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has strong evidence against Aleksander, but without him in court, a trial cannot proceed."

The petition can be found here.
