A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man in Swindon.

27-year-old Fatih Zengi died after being found with serious injuries on Manchester Road on Wednesday (2 July).

Indogan Erdogan, 31, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article

Erdogan has been remanded in custody to appear before court today (5 July).

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker, who is leading the investigation, said: “On behalf of Wiltshire Police, I would offer condolences to the family of Fatih Zengi as they come to terms with their loss.

“I would also like to thank the local community for their patience and support during this investigation.

"There will continue to be further police presence over the coming days in support of the ongoing investigation and for community reassurance.”
