A fundraising page set up after Lancashire teenager Jay Slater went missing in Tenerife has reached £70,000.

The GoFundMe appeal, which had an initial target of £30,000, was first organised to fund searches for the 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle.

He was last seen on 17 June after failing to return from a music festival on the island.

After weeks of searches, the 19-year-old's body was discovered in Tenerife on Monday.

Around £10,000 has been raised since then, after Mr Slater's mother Debbie Duncan appealed for help to repatriate his body and pay for his funeral costs.
