Investigations are taking place into two separate fatal crashes in a Surrey village, within just 24 hours.

Surrey Police are looking into the deaths of two people on Elmbridge Road in Cranleigh.

Emergency services were first called at around 9.30pm on Friday 10th October 2025, after a car hit a tree and caught fire - killing a man in his 20s.

A collision then took place on the same road - this time on the bridge over the Downs Link - around ten minutes later last night (Saturday 11th October 2025).

Three cars were involved in a collision which claimed the life of a woman in her 80s - and left a man in his 80s with serious injuries.

Surrey Police say they're thoroughly investigating incidents they know have caused concern among local residents.
