A total of four arrests have been made in connection with a serious assault in Folkestone.

Kent Police was called to an address on Firs Lane at 10.45am on Friday morning (4th April).

A man in his 50s sustained serious injuries, including one consistent with a stab wound, and was taken to a London hospital for treatment.

Shortly afterwards, a car was stopped in the Dymchurch area, and officers arrested two men, aged 45 and 40, in connection with the assault.

An additional two men, aged 24 and 73, were later arrested on the same day.

They all currently remain in custody.

All parties are understood to be known to each other and officers do not believe there is a wider threat to the public.

Meanwhile, officers remain at the scene as they continue to establish the circumstances of the assault.
