After raising over £30 million ahead of his 100th birthday last month, former World War II veteran Captain Sir Tom Moore captured the hearts of the nation and was even promoted to Colonel, before being knighted by the Queen at Windsor Castle on the 17th July 2020.

As well as receiving over 125,000 birthday cards from strangers across the world, ITV commissioned a special VE Day show for him, he was given a birthday flypast and he even landed a Number 1 single with his rendition of 'Never Walk Alone' alongside Michael Ball.

But it appears there's no stopping 100-year-old Captain Sir Tom, with news that he's going to release two brand new books, one of which will be an autobiography.

In his autobiography, titled 'Tomorrow Will Be A Good Day', Captain Sir Tom tells the story of his long and dramatic life, including his time in World War II, his love for motorbikes, his journey to the Himalayas and Everest in his 90s, and of course, his amazing fundraising efforts for the NHS during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking about his autobiography, which will be published on 17th September 2020, Captain Sir Tom said, "I am so looking forward to sharing my autobiography with you which will help launch my new Foundation... I'd better get writing!"

As well as 'Tomorrow Will Be A Good Day', Captain Sir Tom will also be releasing a children's picture book on the 1st October.

The inspiring book will be about adventure and helping people, telling the story of a man who walked 100 laps of his garden to raise money for charity and capture the hearts of the nation in the process.

Published by Puffin, the book will be fully illustrated for younger readers, showing the story of Captain Sir Tom's amazing life.

Colonol Tom's daughter Hannah said, “As a child, I was an avid reader, I often had two or three books on the go at any one time. I have wonderful childhood memories of going to meet authors at Puffin Book Club meetings, proudly wearing my Puffin badge and asking authors to sign copies of their books.”
