Boy in life-threatening condition after crashing motorcycle into wall in Barnsley

Police are appealing for witnesses following a single-vehicle collision in Pogmoor which left a boy with serious injuries.

On Friday 30th May, at 5.31am, emergency services were called to Pogmoor Road.

It's believed the rider of the motorcycle- a 17-year-old boy- left the carriageway and collided with a wall.

No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains.

His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

As South Yorkshire Police's investigation progresses, they are now asking for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
