Rangers Block Groups' Voting Rights

Published 29th Jul 2015

Rangers have blocked the voting rights of four shareholding groups after they failed to supply information to the board.

The groups include Blue Pitch Holdings, which was among the initial investors in the newco Rangers in 2012.

Along with Putney Holdings, ATP Investments and Norne Anstalt, the restrictions apply to more than 10 per cent of shares.

As well as a ban on voting at general meetings, the groups will not be allowed to receive payments in respect of their shares or transfer ownership unless they provide the information requested by Rangers.

The move represents a further shift in power at Rangers away from those who invested with the Charles Green-fronted consortium.
