The 2020 series of Love Island may have been postponed due to the Coronavirus, but if you cast your mind back to last year's show, it was certainly up there with the best reality TV moments of the last year!

Despite loved-up couple Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury stealing the hearts of the nation, it was Geordie girl Amber Gill who was crowned the winner of the show, alongside Irish rugby player Greg O'Shea (but we won't talk about how that ended 🙈).

Since leaving the famous villa out in Mallorca, Amber has remained in the public eye, so we were over the moon to have her join The Reality of Reality TV with Fleur East, following The Vivienne, Janet Devlin and Alison Hammond.

Of course, if you were as hooked on Love Island 2019 as we were, the stand-out moment from the show was of course Casa Amor, where Amber stayed loyal to Scouse fireman Michael Griffiths, only for him to dump her and couple up with new girl Joanna Chimonides.

The dramatic moment was so iconic it has now been nominated for 'Virgin Media's Must-See Moment Award 2020' at the 2020 BAFTA TV awards.

As Amber held it together like the absolute QUEEN that she is, {{fleurEast}} was interested to know how she was left feeling inside.

Amber told her, "Earlier in the show I had already said you look like the kind of guy that's going to ruin my life. I can't remember if that got aired or if that didn't get aired, but I remember saying that to him. So I always had it in the back of my head I was, like, uh, huh, so then in Casa Amor, the girls were sort of really, really confident and I just had something in the back of my head because I remember they asked us, like, how sure are you?

"I said 95%, is said, but that 5% is taking up my whole brain. I didn't like any of the boys in Casa Amor so even if I was single I probably wouldn't have went for any of those anyway, so I was just chilling, that was the worst time because you just don't know what's going on and you're doing challenges against the other house and you know who's there, you don't know what's going on, it's horrible but, then, when I came to walking in, I was the last person walking in.

"Now I'm very, like, I think about things and I was, like, if I'm the last person walking in, something's happened. There was no other girls. All the girls have walked in, I could hear people clapping, people talking and I was just, I had to stand there for ages and I was just thinking something has gone on."

Explaining she knew deep down something was up, Amber added, "So I was, like, something's gone on because why is there a huge pause between me walking in. It seems like a kind of build up, but everyone's going no, no, it's fine, it's fine. I was, like, nah, something's not sitting right in my brain, so I walk out, and when the walk out they say look forward.

"Well I couldn't. How can you? It's intense. I can't be looking straight forward, so there's, like, little board slats through where you walk through and I was, like, peek, peeking through when I walked through and I was, like, oh, I can see. I could see. I can see."

Of course, each episode of Love Island has to be edited down into hour-long slots, so the Casa Amor return episode may look quite fast paced, but as Amber explains in the podcast, it goes on and on!

She told Fleur, "It was the longest night ever. Like I don't think you understand how long it was, so the way that it's set up is one girl walks in at a time as you see, but in-between that time there's long pauses. I don't know what they have to do, reset or whatever. So you're talking five girls, I think it was, all walking in before me.

"So it must have been three hours or--, it had to be that long, that waiting and I was last so it was just even longer for me. It has horrible. It was so long and then I was thinking ah, it looks so short on the TV. I had to stand and suffer for hours."

After all of that drama, Amber will discover if she's won Virgin Media's Must-See Moment of 2020 at the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards on Friday 31st July 2020.

TOMMY STOLE LUCIE FROM JOE

After surfer girl Lucie coupled up with Joe on the first episode of the series, things seemed to get off to a good start... before Tommy entered hours later.

Tommy chose to couple up with Lucie, stealing her from poor Joe. He said in the Beach Hut, "At the moment the girl I want to pursue is going to be Lucie. She's a surfer, she goes to the gym. Her body is banging. She has beautiful eyes, a beautiful face, beautiful everything."
