The 37 year old completing a beach clean challenge involving 78 different shorelines around the UK.

She set off from the South of England making her way up the West Coast before looping over the North of Scotland through Caithness and is expected in Nairn on 9 July 2019.

Kiko will then head through Moray to Macduff, into Aberdeenshire then south down the East Coast until she reaches London as her final stop.

In 2009 the former science teacher was diagnosed with Cushings Disease, caused by a tumour in the pituitary gland, which causes excess hormones to be released into the body.

After beating the disease she then started training to row across the Atlantic, but in 2017 a second tumour was found and then successfully removed after an operation.

Kiko Matthews went on to become the fastest woman to row across the Atlantic unsupported.

But she has now swapped her boat for a bike and will cycle 7,000km around the UK in a campaign against plastic pollution.

She set off at the beginning on May 2019 and has already collected more than 2.5 tonnes of rubbish off the country's coastlines so far.

Beach cleans are organised right across the UK and Kiko is welcoming any volunteers who want to come out and help her tackle plastic pollution.
