Woman struck by car in Inverness city centre

She has been taken to hospital for treatment

A woman was taken to hospital earlier after being hit by a car in Inverness.

Emergency services attended the scene after she was struck whilst using the pedestrian crossing on Friars Bridge at the Shore Street roundabout.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.10pm on Thursday, 3 December, officers were called to the Shore Street area of Inverness, following a road crash involving a car and a female pedestrian.

"The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and the road was reopened at 3.45pm."
