Woman dies in Ullapool house fire
A woman has died in a house fire in Ullapool. Fire, police and ambulance crews were called to the blaze on Pulteney Street at around 3.30pm on Saturday.
Police Scotland confirmed that a woman - the only resident in the property - died as a result of the fire.
Her family has been told but her name has not yet been released.
The blaze has been brought under control. In a statement, police said: The cause of the fire is unexplained at this time and police inquiries remain ongoing.''
