Woman charged with attempted murder after Merkinch crash

The 43-year-old is due to appear in court tomorrow

A woman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a car crash near Inverness city centre.

A Mercedes E220 crashed into the former William Hill bookmakers at the junction of Grant Street and Lochalsh Road on January 21st.

Police Scotland have now confirmed a 43-year-old woman is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court tomorrow.

The diversion around the damaged building will be reviewed next week following works to make it safe.
