Woman arrested in Portsmouth in connection with Inverness murder

A third arrest has been made following the death of a 36-year-old man in Inverness in November.

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in the Portsmouth area in connection.

Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary carried out the arrest on behalf of Police Scotland.

She is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court later this week.

Officers were called to a Dalneigh property on St Ninian Drive in the early hours of Sunday November 12th.

Inside the house, Ross MacGillivray was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men, aged 21 and 28, were arrested and charged in connection with Ross MacGillivray’s death in 2023.

Leon Headey from Liverpool and Craig Hayden of Alness made no plea and were remanded in custody.
