Local club awards honorary membership to Scottish Open home favourite Russell Knox
Inverness Golf Club has awarded honorary membership to the Scottish Open's home favourite Russell Knox. The 31-year-old spoke to MFR News last night at the Culcabock course where he's previously won the club's four-day open championships three-times.
After 0830 this morning the World Number 27 tees off following yesterday's level par finish at Castle Stuart, three-strokes off the joint lead.
It took Knox five-hours to complete the first round after fierce winds exhausted the golfer.
The player dropped a stroke at the 18th hole which he insists is laid out wrong.
