"It was like a scene from a horror movie" - ELGIN MUM KIMBERLEY SHARP, 21
Families are claiming they're 'traumatised' after last night's fireworks in Elgin, which reportedly reduced kids to tears.
Eyewitness social media posts claim a 'young girl' was hit on the head at the Cooper Park display, and she allegedly suffered a burn to her scalp.
Mum Kimberley Sharp, 21, told MFR News that she was worried for the safety of her seven-month-old baby. She said: "It was not long after the fireworks had started going off, when things went kaput.
"Fireworks came down on top of where loads of people were standing, next to the mini-golf.
"There was screaming, people running, and I tried to run away to get my daughter to safety.
"Fireworks were coming towards us, and one near enough hit the pram, but luckily enough my daughter was in her dad's arms and he went running with her, so she wasn't actually in the pram."

'It was terrifying. We thought we got to a safe distance but had to run again...the fireworks came hurling to the ground' - ANN HAMILTON
Caroline MacDonald added: "I have to admit I am slightly traumatised after tonight's event.
"My children, who are both such daredevils, were reduced to tears and are now adamant they will never go to the fireworks again.
"We just ran away from the fireworks as they were coming into the crowds."
Many others took to Facebook and Twitter to vent their anger and question the event's safety.
Courtney Campbell posted: 'First time my little sisters have been old enough to go with their friends, and for one of them to get hit on the head by one of the fireworks must have been such a scary experience.
'She's okay now, but her hair is singed right down to her scalp, and her scalp's a bit burnt. She says it just stings, but was screaming at the time.
'Thank God it was nothing more.'
Chelle Ravello typed: 'I'm sure I won't be the only one commenting on how unsafe that was tonight. My family were stood by the crazy golf area, and had to run to safety as fireworks came shooting towards us.
'It was terrifying. We thought we got to a safe distance but had to run again towards the bridge, as again the fireworks came hurling to the ground.'
And Ann Hamilton added: 'We were stood by the crazy golf and had to run as the fireworks were aiming at us and showering from above.
'My son was hit by one, and another bounced off my daughter's buggy. Luckily I had put her hood over while running, otherwise it would have landed on her. I also was hit.
'The more I think about it, the angrier I become.'
