Norbord's Inverness panel board factory's new manufacturing line's been officially opened by the First Minister today.

Nicola Sturgeon welcomed the firm's £95million investment into its factory on the Dalcross site.

She told MFR News that jobs have been secured in the Highlands and beyond for the next 25-years.

The FM said: "This is an important company in the Highlands. The investment that's taken place here has secured its future, the future of the jobs, directly employed here, and will also have helped to secure jobs across the wider forestry sector.

"The future of this place is secure for a very, very long time, not just because of the investment here, but because of the growing market opportunities that there are for what is produced here.

"For those who work here, and for those whose jobs in the wider forestry sector will depend to some extent on a company like this, there's every reason to be very, very positive."
