WATCH: Highland foodbank reliance to rise above 5,500 people

Over 5,500-people turned to a Highland foodbank for help last year, and that number is going up this year.
It's thought that 50-tonnes of food was given out in 2016 from the region's foodbanks including branches in Alness, Aviemore, Dingwall, Tain, and Thurso.
Lorna Dempster runs the Inverness and Nairn foodbank based in Merkinch, and told MFR News that there are plans to offer even more help in the future.
She said: "We will be providing in the future, maybe help with school meals during holiday time - something that we're certainly considering at the moment.
"In term time families are entitled to free school meals, but in holiday times that provision is not there, so as a foodbank we're looking to support people in that situation."

Every day people in the Highlands are struggling to put food on the table.
Reasons range from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.
